Ingredients for Masala Prawns Fry:
- 500 gms Prawns or Shrimp - 250-300 gms net (shelled & deveined) For marination: - Salt- 1/2 tsp - Turmeric powder- 1/4 tsp - Red Chilli Powder- 1 tsp - Ginger garlic paste- 1 tsp Spice Powders - Coriander powder- 1 tsp - Cumin powder- 1/2 tsp - Fennel (Saunf) Powder- 1/2 tsp - Garam masala powder- 1/2 tsp - Onions, sliced- 2 medium - Green chillies, halved & slit -4 nos. - Curry leaves- 15-20 leaves - Juice of lemon- 1.5 tsp - Oil- 3 tbsp Preparation: - Marinate the prawns with the items indicated and set aside for around 30 mins. - Slice the onions and slit & halve the green chillies. Process: - Heat oil in a pan & add the sliced onions. Fry the onions on medium heat for around 6-7 mins till light brown. - Add the slit green chillies & curry leaves and fry for 1 min. - Now add the marinated prawns & sauté on medium heat for around 2 mins. - Add the spice powders, mix well & fry on medium heat for around 3-4 mins till the masala coats the prawns well. - Squeeze in juice of lemon and mix it well. Stir for a minute and serve hot.
